El show empezo bien, aunque muy tarde.

Esta repleto de hombres el lugar.

Un buen rap de muchas voces latinas,

sobre los temas que son los temas, de canciones de rap.

Bebo de las cervezas y whisky ($7)

3am y kiero refuerzos… no hay en el show de los temas.

La pase bien con unos mejicanos de la DF que tenian  effectos de humo.

Zesto- He was one of the better rappers there AND, he was Dj for a moment too, and i dug it, wholelotta style

11:00 AM- At first, I thought this was gona be a spoken word thing, but it turned out to be a big future rap thing, which i am a fan of.

W.A.S.T.E.L.A.N.D.S.- Chicago definatly in there!

The Presence- Liked this here, this is a good rap group

Masai Bey- i heard of this guy before, i dont know where, but i know why. legendary nyc rap, plus dude uprocks crazy THEN he got on the tables and scratched just in case mufukaas

Brown Bag Allstars- hhahahahah these dudes are cool they yell at the crowd and invite them to  battle

Elucid- The headliner, and it was obvious why, Elucids the man and it’s not because i know him

THE WJOLE DUBSTEP THING GOT ME!!    I HAD AVOIDED CONTACT WITH IT FOR AWHILE, THIS MIX FROM INDIA GOT ME… INDIA GO HARD

 

TO’ TA’ CLOROX CON TITO SWING EN BROOKLYN

I was prowling the streets of  southside on a Monday, which I do not accustom, when I see posters posted up telling me that my favorite mambo band had preformed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and tonight Monday,  was the last show before he headed back to La Republica, his home.  I knew I had to see this band or live with a deep seeded regret and a constant dagger in my chest knowing that there may not be a next time to see what maybe the best merengue mambo show since  Rod Stewart.

So, against my better judgement I tell mi amorzipan that im going to the southside to see El mas loco de to’  Tito Swing, and I would need a ride there. She totally understood.

Decked out in my shiny shoes and my expensive Ralph Lauren western shirt  I grabbed my last $100 bill and went off to see the show at about 11:oo pm on a Monday. To my surprise I was early… I was the first one there, me and 3 chubby chix. I accepted my newly found groupie status swallowed the $25 cover and washed it down with a $6 Presidente. This went on till about 1 am, it had been $40 later when  realized… “I dont even have a buzz!”.

Out in front I smoked my Newports and took tokes of the bluest buds in Brooklyn from my one hitter. I noticed down the street there was some jokers doing the same, but even bolder they were brown baggin beers right out side the place. So you know I had to do the same!  By 3 a.m. I was pretty loose, down to my last $20 and I knew I wasnt making it into work tommorow, so I ask the hostess if the bands gonna play. Right then the hooligans from outside rush in bringing a kushy cloud with them and hop on stage. A minute later that bass line smacked me in the face and that cowbell went off, Dominican hottties rushed the stage and all the gangstas drinking Chivas crowded around. By far one of the baddest shows I seen in NYC.

Next time you can come keep me company.

 

Attack of the Mormons

Yesterday i was making power moves on the cellphone in front of the Living Room ( check the roll) when 3 Jehovas witnesses ran up on me to spread the good word. These guys were obviously white boys from middle America sent as missionaries to save the heathens on the island, and they only spoke basic  Spanish. They walked up to me all bushy tailed and bright eyed and said hello, i waved them on then turned my back to them and kept talkin on the phone to Sparky  about what ever it is we where talking about in rapid fire spanish. As soon as i turned around again, as shure as the sunrises these little fuckers where still there, it’s like they knew i spoke english. CraZy ass Iowa converters, blue eyed – blonde hair  redemptors!

YESTERDAY  I drove out to the Saint Just area of Carolina, PR  to get a copy of my driving record for a job and so my Asian mail order bride by way of Russia, Ling Ling, could get her drivers license switched to a Puerto Rico one. It seems to be common practice here to give one the run around, torture you with miles of red tape and bullshit bureaucracy.  In order for Ling Ling to change her license she must take a written exam, but first i had to pay a walrus of a woman $35 for 2 2×2 photos, a suspicious eye exam, and some “stamps”which act as tender exchanged for the service provided by the DMV,aka DISCOtech, no cash accepted, stamps only. I inquired on how Ling Ling could get some kind of review for the test and I was handed a sliver of paper which was obviously photo copied and cut by hand. On the slit of paper was a web address wich held the review for this written test they spoke of. Unfortunately, I was informed that the review was only in Spanish but the test could be taken in english…Lings Ling’s spanish isn’t so great but then again, neither is her english. Her score will be posted after  her first try, stay tuned.

         As far as my driving record…that, I can not get from the internet, that would just be too easy, I have to go to another set of offices in another town and pay $1.50 in stamps which I buy at yet another office called the Colecturia because cash is not accepted, stamps only sir. The office is not so far off, Hato Rey, I asked for directions on how to get there  and the lady behind the glass window handed me a photo stat of a hand drawn map with arrows and a big X to mark the spot, reminiscent of a treasure map. Luckily enuff 
I know the area from a few years back, my parole officers office was on the same avenue. This all took a little over 2 hours and I got nothing accomplished. Y ASI ES Q HACEMOS LA COSAS AQUI PUNIETA!!!
